http://thebiketube.com This is part 1 of a three part series that will cover lacing and truing a wheel. There is nothing like crafting something with your bare hands, especially if that something is a bike wheel. There is something inherently rewarding and zen like about wheel building so we here at thebiketube.com decided to bring the world a wheel building instructional video, enjoy! The wheel being built consists of a 36 hole hub and 36 hole rim, more info at http://www.thebiketube.com
Part 2 will be posted shortly.

  • does it matter if its a rare or front wheel (is the procces the same)? ty

  • @donniedarko88888 Yes, as long as spoke count is the same.

  • @thebiketube should i just have a bikeshop build a pair or should i just do it myself, im very mechanically inclined but i dont want to fubar anything

  • @snowyphil65 You can't really mess anything up by building your own wheel. The first one just might not turn out absolutely perfect, maybe slightly out of true or something, but you can always fix that. If you have the time I would definitely give it a shot!
