@Hario360 At $0.99 it's worthwhile - hell, barring really terrible games I personally think spending a dollar on a game is pretty worthwhile as long as you get some sort of entertainment out of it... buuuut that's just my thinking on the matter :D

I'd like to make a correction to the review, this game doesn't use ATB because I've only experienced ATB in the FF series and if my memory serves me well the ATB feature is exclusive to the FF franchise since Squaresoft at the time patented the ATB app/feature.

this game uses traditional turn-based combat, ATB is Active Time Battle system where every there is a timer gauge for turns and you can attack when the timer gauge goes full which makes it more real-time battle system.

@thepineapple1 I'm asking for gameplay - something that is independent of cost (as clearly evidenced by the success of the App Store) and for Gameloft to understand the basics of the mechanics they're plundering. For goodness sake, you need to keep spare armor in your inventory just to swap items between characters; who the heck let that slip through? I'm not saying this is a BAD game, just seriously underwhelming for a company that can clearly do better.

final fantasy copy...all of the final fantasy are already on iphone back up gameloft...theyre all gay except 13 and crystal bearers.

I like the game, am about five chapters in, pretty stock the storyline but like the battle system. Also like it that you can set your iPad to another language and still have the English language vocalizations (for learning Japanese). That being said the high health bars of enemies makes no sense in this game and I totally agree with that critique. I would think after 11 hits of 9999 each the stupid enemy would be dead already!!
