This video shows VVT activation on 4AGE 20V Blacktop (from AE111 Levin/Trueno). I've wired up the VVT output voltage to the unused ((ABS)) indicator on my meter cluster. Notice that VVT could even operate below 3000RPM depending on throttle position and engine load. On my other video, you could see that VVT starts early and cuts out at around 6800RPM. Btw, this is my own version of VVT light =) The needle could be a little hard to notice, but its actually much more visible in real life.

  • doesent that burn vvt-i transistor? i have read that more usable and safer is use ground wiring from ecu because it doesent make 12mA extra to transistor... or did you use relay to swap that light function (if you take ground from ecu it burns all the time and when vvt-i activates, light will be off)

  • Been using over a year (daily driven)... so far nothing burnt on the ECU. No, I did not take ground. I tapped the wire from VVT output from ECU and then connected the wire to the empty "ABS" socket on the meter cluster.

  • hi mate

can you pls tell me where you got the information, on how to wire this, pls.

    thanks

  • Hi, I can't post the URL for the image buy you should be able to find it in Google Image Search "vvt light.jpg"
