I disagree on everyone "needing" a computer. You don't Need a computer to teach effectively. I think it is a great extra tool in the toolbox.
but neccesary? Not every kid learns that way.
what I have noticed, is that regular keyboards are being used. My 1st.grader can't spread his fingers wide enough to type with all fingers. and who is going to pay the bill for handstrain?

The tools children need to learn. First a computer, this is the 21 Century and so many of our young people especially children do not know how to use a computer. What can we do to help more people use computers, at home, work, library and schools? First, require every home to have a computer. The larger the family, the more the need for computers. Maybe, the Gates Foundation, should make a international issue on this, Quote: A computer is every home, will help our children learn better. Great.
