Cohen sure had a pair of balls, he took shit from no one, well except for Siegel and Lansky of course. How many times did the Dragnas try to kill him? They even blew up half of his house once while Cohen and his wife were asleep in it. He screwed himself by flashing too much money, which caught the IRS' attention, and landed him in jail. I love how, in the 40s, he owned a habedashery as a front, almost all of the suits in the shop were his size.

@sauske248 a 1940's gangster

Fascinating!

@broadjumper1 you make some great points. Thanks for shutting this guy's criminal worshiping theories down, but I found one mistake that you made. The truth is, neither Luciano nor lansky was the "head of all the families" or, in Italian, "capo di tuti capi". Luciano's main goal was to eliminate the title of boss of all bosses. That is why the commission has no top dog boss. This caused much bloodshed and it's a good thing he stopped it.

@tegrimm Sure is Italianfag in here.

BULLSHIT! Cohen was NO Capone.....Capone was an Icon....Cohen was a half wit who sucked Jack Dragna's Cock...
-
@TheParkusEmpire Was a criminal organization that held Jewish and Italian members to be equal, and was easily as powerful as the pure-Italian mafia. It was more this organization that Bugsy and Mickey were in than the mafia.

@n0gar Depends. Mickey operated in Cleveland for a while, and the mafia there, unlike New York, didn't think too much of Jews. The mafia itself won't official accept Jews (nor anyone else who isn't Italian). Lansky became a very powerful figure in the mafia, certainly more powerful than many actually made men, but was never made himself.
However, as I'm sure you know, Lansky went on to co-found the National Crime Syndicate, (generally just referred as "the Syndicate"), which....

@sauske248 As Al Capone was to Chicago in the 1920's and 30's, Mickey Cohen was to L.A. in the 1940's and 50's.
