I was using the bottoms and tops of my feet when I first started. It hurts my feet. I just only use the top of my foot to first get up there for that boost up the pole. Other than that I use my calfs. Not even so much thighs. Just squeeeeeezeeeeeeee the calfs and I push my bottom out away from the pole, it helps me get it more ;). if that helps any???. it works wonders for me.

Only if it helps you: I like to use the top of my foot to help climb. I am not saying it is the best or right way ;). So friction would be on front leg top of foot an shin, and back leg calf...??? Then the thighs. You rock it took me a while to invert. I used cold soda can on my thigh burn . Lol. Like gripping pole only it was yummy pepsi.. Great job 5 stars

I have had two kids. My son is 3, my daughter is now 2. I still got a baby belly.. but I am SLOWLY losing it by doing pole. I love it!!!. Thanks. I am glad I make you happy! NEVER give up!
