The Phan Hin Shrine (โบราณสถานพานหิน) is located Khok Khwang Rd., Nong Phrong, Ban Sang, Prachinburi 25150 Thailand. This large square Phan Hin ancient monument is made solely of laterite. It is 15.50 metres wide on each side, and 3.5 metres high, with four porches. It is believed that the building was a shrine for the Hindu God, Vishnu, built during the 7th - 9th Century in the reign of King Jayavarman I of Chenla. However only the base exists today. The shape of a sculptural pedestal found in the centre of the ancient remains is similar to a tray or "Phan" in Thai. Therefore, the place has been called "Phan Hin" or stone tray since. In addition, a carved round laterite base was also discovered. Prachin Buri used to be a very prosperous town with beautiful waterfalls and canals which are very popular among nature adventurers. Prachin Buri history starts about 800 years ago in the Dvaravati period. King Rama V paid a royal visit in 1908.
