The Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Team is the NCAA Division I women's volleyball team for the University of Hawaiʻi. The team has won four national championships: one AIAW title and three NCAA Division I titles. Since joining the WAC in 1996 the Rainbow Wahine have at least clinched a share of the conference title in all those years. Hawaii had won 10 straight conference tournaments, beating New Mexico State between the years of 2006 thru 2009. The program in addition has made 29 NCAA postseason appearances out of 30 years, only missing the 1992 NCAA tournament. The program has produced Olympians, All-Americans, and two individuals named AVCA National Player of the Year since 1996 (of a sum four total); the program presents an eminence that can be matched by no other Hawaii sports team, no matter what the athletic attempt.

2010 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America teams:

Kanani Danielson (Jr.), it marks the second straight year she was picked to the 14-member first team. As a freshman in 2008, she was named to the AVCA third team. This past season, the junior from 'Ewa Beach, O'ahu, led the Rainbow Wahine and ranked in the Top 10 nationally in kills (4.59 kps) and became the 17th player in the program's history to eclipse 1,000 career kills. She was the Western Athletic Conference's Player of the Year for the second straight year and also named AVCA All-Region team.

Brittany Hewitt (So.), led the nation in blocking for much of the season (1.68 bps), while also averaging 2.30 kills per set and hitting .365. During the season, she broke two school rally-scoring records for hitting percentage (.917 vs. New Mexico State) and blocking (16 vs. San Diego). The sophomore from Eagle, Idaho, earned AVCA 2nd All-American Team Honors. She was also named to the all-WAC first team and AVCA All-Region team.

Dani Mafua (Sr.), finished her career fifth all-time in the UH record book in assists (3,745). The Kapolei, O'ahu native averaged 11.19 assists per set this season and led the Rainbow Wahine to a team hitting percentage of .284. Named honorable mention AVCA All American and selected to the AVCA All-West Region team for the second time... also named first team All-WAC.
