I love how feminism ties itself to righteous causes like it is all about helping all the other "opressed" people out there. Speaks to it's mindless arrogance. I am seeing this channel talk of things that are NOT FEMINIST ISSUES!!!
Wow old postings for sure, but Lachdenan get your head out of your ass. Disgusting sexist pig. People like you make this world an evil dark disgusting place to live.
And no, nobody would attack you, but if you went around saying that everything revolved around the earth and that the world was flat today you would be clearly wrong and your sanity seriously questioned.
@Lachdenan Well, it's not so much that it's "hip" to criticize organized religion. More that people tend to question things as they gain more access to education and truth. People once believed everything revolved around the earth and that the world was flat- and you could be burned for saying otherwise- but we know better now, don't we?
@Karenjadegirl Sure. And those of us who would rather have a religion don't need you telling us that we're screwed up for believing it, which would surely be true if you could substantiate the accusation that the Bible is trashy because you don't like it. Of course, I could debate that all day long. If it weren't the case, there wouldn't be Christians. It seems odd that that IS the hip thing to attack nowadays? I don't think anyone would attack me for saying the sky is orange.
@Lachdenan Then where in the bible was "God" judged and held accountable for the wiping out of human beings in the flood and Sodom or the murder of the Egyptian firstborn or the murder of David and Bath Shebas baby, etc? I don't throw out "God" based on men, I throw out fundimentalism and organized religion. People may believe and disbelieve as they wish without trying to convert eachother.
The was nothing about it being *wrong* for "God" to kill Moses for not circumcising his son, or telling Moses and the Hebrews *not* to wipe out the Midianites and keep their virgin women as sex slaves. And who do you think murdered David and Bath Sheba's baby? I could go on. I *do* get the bible, which is why I find it to primevil and primitive. We can do just as well without organized religion or trying to cram it down everyone else's throat saying they're bad or wrong for not believing in it.
@Karenjadegirl Perhaps you would take pleasure in knowing that they were all judged for their transgressions: that's accountability. It doesn't mean that everyone behaves all the time, but that everyone is accountable for what they did. Just don't throw out God based on men.
And no, there was nothing about "God" telling Lot *not* to hand over his daughters to a mob, or "God" stopping the king from burning his daughter as a sacrifice to "him", and it was "God" who wiped out all but one family in the flood, all but one family in Sodem (including a woman just for looking back) and all the Egyptian firstborn.
@Lachdenan *Shrugs* Well, like I said, we just have to agree to disagree because I dislike organized religion in general, I see religious writings as ancient fables and parables (nothing to base my life on) and see all deitys of organized religions, Yaweh, Ra, Zeus, Odin, Buddha, etc as make believe.
