2001 Columbia County Fair & Rodeo Run In

This is my run in at our fair the year I was queen... I'm on Smyndrick, who was 19 at the time. We had to put him down a couple years ago at 26, 11 years with one animal is a long time...

My mom and I made the shirt I'm wearing, using tissue paper for a pattern and an old star-shaped cookie cutter for the stars. Cheyenne Massey (who I graduated with) is singing the National Anthem, and as always did a fantastic job.

This was 3 months before the attacks on New York on 9/11 and if you listen to the announcer in the background, he makes a very moving tribute to our troops and soldiers fighting. Makes me proud to be an American on the 4th of July, and the rest of the year too.
