This is a simple fluid dynamics system running on the GPU interacting with a generic fish/eel shape.
This project was designed to investigate the locomotive efficiency of various swimming patterns and body shapes.

  • Well spotted sir. Actually, this video was taken made when there was no influence of the water back on the fish. It is purely one-way effect.

The later version has two-way physical coupling, so the fish can really 'swim'.

  • THe video seems excellent for teaching how an ondulatory fish swims. YOu mention in the comment to tioguerra that there is a "later version". Has it been uploaded? Can I use it for my classes (with credits, of course)?

  • Strange, comparing to the surrounding particles it does not seem to be moving forward much...
