  • Stanliz. The reason could be that we are all somewhat slow on the uptake nowadays.I allow myself one question:what exactly is or was a "Salty Dog"?Whatever, the music is simply wonderful.

  • @Squarerig

I'm really not sure except I think it initially referred to sailors. If someone knows, let me know, please.

I'm not really sure what "Salty Dog" means but I think it referred to sailors (maybe rough & rowdy ones).

If anyone knows, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ailene Cusack

  • When I was in the Corps, a "salty dog" was a Marine who had a lot of time in service. We would shorten it down and say that Marine is "salty" - he's got years in. Also, I believe it's a cocktail of some sort...? By the way, you cats swing it out!!!

  • 好好聽喔!!! 有朝一日我也可以吧??!!

  • Thank you aileencusack for sharing this superb band with us. Top musicians who are able to convey their enjoyment of the music to the listeners do not grow on trees.

  • love this style of playing, nice relaxed swing to it, just wish they were near me and could wonder in off the street and enjoy. Envy these guys being able to play in a band and jam together. Cant understand why Im the first to comment when it appears to have been here for 18months with nearly 2000 views!
