Video of Airbus' brand new aircraft. For a test (or show) this A380s tail purposely hits the ground. They do this to make sure the aircraft will withstand and accidental tailstrike while taking off. Please rate and comment. Thxs

  • It is a minimum take off speed test... They knew the aircraft was scraping the runway.

  • That's gonna take some Turtle Wax to buff out...

  • :S Seems like a foolish and dary test :S. No logic!

  • Hell, the A380 certainly isn't any worse than that Russian beast the Antonov 225 with it's 6 engines and a wingspan of almost 100 yards! (88.4 meters to be exact) But I don't hear anyone bitching about that one. It's so expensive to fly that the Ruskies pretty much grounded it.

  • @TheCannonofMohammed you need to get your science straight..."ingests too much sky"?!? you mean it takes in air and then the air doesn't come back out? twathead.

why don't you stop and think about what butterfly theory ACTUALLY explains (i.e. subatomic disturbances causing cosmic events) before you post so you don't sound so foolish?

and besides. the A380 doesn't have the biggest engines of any plane. it simply has the biggest wingspan/gross weight...reason why it is known as a "Jumbojet".

  • @TheCannonofMohammed you are right.... we never had hurricanes before this plane arrived on the scene. I don't think volcanoes existed either. In fact has anyone seen a dinosaur since they brought this plane into service?

  • Have to do it for certification! Boeing straps an oak slider board on the tail these days!

  • That is bloody beautiful :)))

  • what a fucking beast!

  • Chuck Norris could have took off that plane with his face...

  • @TheCannonofMohammed then why did you say that if they stretch it that it'll burn less fuel... you acted foolish the first=\\ and yes i know it can/will disrupt the currents like the jetstream.. blablabla... by the time it's actually disrupted we all will have a natural death ihope =o

  • @weetnietgeen Well, I'm against this aircraft because of environmental reasons. It simply ingests too much sky in those big engines. And it is VERY disruptive of the natural sky-currents as it traverses the oceans, and could very well be the root cause for the hurricanes. Have you ever heard of butterfly theory? Stop and think before you post, and you won't act so foolish!!!
