It would be nice but for most the reason isn't because of money.....it's the feeling you get after you help someone. There are people who don't get paid for doing it but they still do...

Yes there are people who do appreciate what you do but most dont until they need you. While we have football players making millions of dollers (and always begging for more) to play a game and we have those who risk there lifes to save others. Police and firefighters should see that kinda of money!

We do a job, and we get a paycheck. No different than a factory worker, garbage man or bus driver. But what we do, only we truly know. Try to explain what you do, what you see, what you feel, how you sleep, to a civilian. Try to explain it to your priest,..
