How funny to see Maureen McCormick outside of "The Brady Bunch" and see her threatened with a spanking! Too bad Samantha didn't give her naughty rump a smack right there, the little brat! Thanks for posting it....got to admit, by the time the 60's ended, spankings & spanking threats on TV shows were as rare as hens teeth!

@shelly1874 Nah they still have spankings on sitcoms even today. So it probably won't get cut and back then you really didn't see much and if you did, it was on clothes.

What's so terrible about the idea of Samantha spanking her mother? If you believe in reincarnation mothers probably get spanked all the time by their daughters. It doesn't cause any more of a health risk spanking a normal healthy backside than kissing your mother and if your mother chooses to turn herself into a child and turn your husband into a werewolf i'd say its well within propriety to put her over your knee and spank her.

Thanks for the complients. I really appreciate it. Actually it was the second time that I got to see her in person. The first time was back in 1972 when the Brady Kids were touring the country. I was five years old and got to see the Bunch perform at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. Ah the memories!

I enjoyed reading your thoughtful & insightful comments, superbatfan! I browsed thru her autobiography at a local Target last year & it certainly was interesting & intriguing to the MAX. I had no idea she'd had a period of heavy drug use at one time....I'm delighted to know she finally kicked her habit & is in a spiritually strong & very happy marriage. I did a double take when I first saw this on Nick at Nite. I thought it was her and waited for the credits. Sure enough, it was her. She also appeared in another episode in which Darrin dreams he and Samantha have a big Brady Bunch sized family of little witches and warlocks. To Maureen's credit, I did read her book and get to meet her at a book signing. She has been through a lot and has come out of it o.k.
