Originally written for guitar, this is my arrangement for piano of this well-known piece by Tarrega. The piano used here is a Grand Square by Collard & Collard dating from a time shortly after Clementi's death in 1832 when the firm changed its name (the inscription on the front reads "late Clementi, Collard & Collard" in recognition of this fact).
Why do I choose this piano for this particular piece? 'The Repeater Action' is excellent and the sound quality of the istrument suits the music - or so I think!

  • Thank you for posting Recuerdos.

It is amazing that it sounds such sublime on these ancient squares...

First ever on piano I heared Recurdos performed by Martin Dalheimer on his Broadwood - also a square piano.

I like to listen to you and Martin over and over again.

    Best regards

  • well done, respect, you are on a good way. It's really hard to perform this guitar music authentically to piano. Martin loves it to play and his listeners get dreamy when they hear

    Sabine

  • what a lovely touch:-) though i would expect no less.

  • I love this!!! The right hand is incredible. That b flat gives me goosebumps every time. A very impressive performance and arrangement.
