Dreams is the fruit of our non-controled imagination, some dreams have messages, some are just pure fantasy. Personnally I had very few; like 'bout 7 in my life that was what I wanted to see, or posses. And it would be even less probable that it showed what I really have deep in my heart.
This is also available for nightmares, even thought phobias are more present than the will of dreaming what we desire the most.
