EDIT: At one point I said "0.4" but I meant to say ".04"

I just go over some editing tricks I use and show how I would record using a playstation emulator. Sorry for the somewhat-poor quality, I hope this helps you all :)

  • I know this is a pretty old video, and that you're not the CamStudio helpdesk (:P) but since you seem fairly experienced with it, I was wondering whether you've had a problem like this before.

Basically, I'm trying to record King's Quest VI with CamStudio, but for some reason, I get a black screen where the game should be. The desktop, border window, etc. all draw properly.

Interestingly, the problem only occurs when I force 256 color for my display. In 16-bit, it works normally...

  • I've never had that problem before :( I honestly dunno what to tell ya there

  • i meen is camstudio free

  • is it free?

  • @greenyxi anytime

  • @dearjennyyy Ah, you've helped loads. Thanks :)

  • @greenyxi the way you tune it down is by the program your using to record. i.e. audacity has a mic volume witch lets you control how much you want it to pick up

  • @dearjennyyy Thanks for the reply, it's a mic that I bought at a supermarket. It was called Asda Smartprice Microphone or something similar, so I wasn't expecting brilliance.

Can I ask how you tune the mic down?

  • @greenyxi just tune down the mic, you have the pick ups too high. what mic are you using?

  • Hi, I've been using a stand alone mic to record myself and was wondering why there's noise in the background of the track. Also, is there any way to remove it?

P.S. It's just general, background noise that you can hear when there's no sound being made at all :)

  • What kind of headset do you use or do you use a mic? Sorry if this is an overasked question

  • what emulater do you use???
