This is a live video of Bill Pere and LUNCH performing Taxi at a Harry Chapin Tribute Concert, University of Hartford "Music For a Change" series, 2009. In the summer of 1972, hurricane Agnes caused massive flooding in Lewisburg Pennsylvania. I was at Bucknell University for summer program, and became part of the Red Cross rescue and relief effort. One of my jobs was to entertain the families and kids who were displaced from their homes. Up to this time, I really only played in full rock bands, and was not a solo acoustic performer "Taxi" had recently been released, and having just learned it , I played it many times during that period, just me and my Guild 12-string. During the next Fall semester, word about my rendition of the song apparently spread around campus and my solo career was essentially launched. So three decades later, I'm still doing "Taxi" in our series of Chapin benefit events with LUNCH
