here's a story. At the start of this very tour I saw this band perform their first gig in London. Randy was a mate of Jaco's (which is how he got the gig) and was VERY nervous. At the end of the concert joe applauded him and it looked like the happiest moment of his life. It was a beautiful and touching moment - he clearly wanted to please and he clearly did.

I saw this performance on television when I was in Luxemburg, in 1991. I recorded it on tape, but now, 20 years later I can finally see the performace again! ;-)

In the same festival Ursula Dudziak, Wolfgang Muthspiel and Jan Garbarek (with Manu Katche) performed.
