Precision Metalforming Association - The Employee Free Choice Act

The new Congress and their Big Labor buddies are about to put another nail into the coffin of American manufacturing to make it easier for labor to organize your shop!

High on the priority list for Big Labor with the new Administration and Congress is the so- called Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), also known as the card check bill. This bill could be disastrous for American manufacturers. If enacted, this bill could strip workers of a private ballot when voting on whether to unionize, opening workers up to intimidation and coercion from union bosses. Not only does it take away workers rights, another dangerous provision of the bill could force companies into mandatory arbitration where a federal arbitrator, after 120 days of negotiations, can impose a binding 2-year contract on all parties.

This legislation is an assault on the fundamental American principle of the private ballot, which our entire democratic system is based upon. It marks a dramatic step in the wrong direction for preserving Americas global competitiveness while providing high paying jobs to American workers.
We need YOU to send a message TODAY to your Representative and Senators to urge them to oppose the Employee Free Choice Act and instead support common sense solutions to encourage manufacturing in America!

yeah, it's not exactly "free choice"... like "free trade", "free enterprise", "right to work", and "at-will employment"... I wonder where labor got the idea to use the word "free"? Maybe from big business propagandists? Maybe?

Awesome insight. Digs deeper to uncover facts that aren't in other videos. For example, binding arbitration and the fact that employers will have NO chance to speak with employees. Maybe current legislation could be improved so that unions don't feel employers try to stall negotiations and that they harass employees. However, doesn't Card Check just turn things around 180 degrees? There needs to be a better middle-ground. Thanks for the great information. I'm going to write my Senator NOW.
