Canaan was a show that ran in like... Winter '09. Long story short; synesthete gunslinger girl who was a child soldier dismantles a terrorist organization and builds a friendship with lesbian undertones. Also someone has sex with a dead guy.

In any case, I thought it was a great show, but it wasn't tremendously popular among English speaking circles. I think it had the highest DVD sales for the season though, so that's sweet.

Touhou is not an anime, it's a game, danmaku shooting-game. There is Touhou anime but it's just fanmade.

ZUN is the maker of this game. He made the games all by himself including the soundtrack, etc.
