@Soundman37 I have an acoustic and electric. I mainly use my electric to practice on when people are home...i've practiced at 2 in the morning for a gig the next day and no one knew. However, I would probably never use it in a live setting or to record because it's pretty low quality compared to my acoustic.

Your amazing! How much did you brought them for?
here is another senerio.Say an old man (me) always wanted to play drums but is terrible.Lets say this old mans wife (my wife) gives him(me) the ultimatum to either get rid of that nasty sounding loud acustic drumset thats is driving everyone in the house mad or else&*%#@
the answer....Buy an electronic kit, put on the headphones so no one else can hear how terrible it sounds and viola! marriage saved, got my drums ,everybody happy :-)

Electonic drums don't suck. Think of it as using the right tool for the job. Acoustic drums are great but in a lot of situations not reasonable. Noise level, and floor space restrictions and so on. Recording situations, its easier to use than micing up a big acoustic kit. Cleaner sound.
