Trains 1 and 2: This was one of the best meets of the year. The first train is a westbound NS TOFC with 5 Dash 9s and an Ex-Conrail Dash 8. Once i pan over, you get a great look at the TOFC meeting head-to-head with an eastbound NS Manifest, led by two dash 9s and a Dash 8.

Trains 3 and 4: This was a nice race between NS and CSX. First, a westbound NS TOFC rolls past BE tower, led by an SD70M-2 and a GEVO. This engineer gave one of the best horn shows i've ever heard! Next, a westbound CSX manifest flies through, led by a Dash 8, an AC4400CW, an SD50, and an SD70MAC.

Train 5: Two BNSF SD70MACs, the first a Cream n Green, lead an eastbound coal train

Trains 6 and 7: Another race between NS and CSX appears, this time heading eastbound. First, a westbound NS TOFC heads by, led by an Ex-Conrail SD60, an Ex-Conrail SD70 in NS paint, and an SD70M-2. The engineer gives quite the nice shave and a haircut for a leslie thats losing it's luster! Then, a coal train led by a couple of UP AC4400CWs

Train 8: One of the last surviving C40-8 in conrail paint leads an eastbound TOFC (With a dash 8 and an SD70M-2) right on the tail of a manifest.

Trains 9 and 10: Another race between NS and CSX takes place, except CSX is the winner in this instance. An ex-conrail SD60 leads the westbound NS manifest, and the CSX overtakes the lens with a manifest led by a GEVO, a roadslug, a GP40-2, and an SD50.

Train 11: 6 NS units, 3 dash 9s and SD70M-2s, lead a westbound intermodal train. This was just an example of how NS has been overpowering their trains.

Train 12: An ex-conrail SD60 follows a Dash 9 on the tip of a westbound NS manifest.

Trains 13 and 14: NS seands two trains westward, one within 300 feet of the other. The first is a coal train led by an Ex-Conrail SD50, a BNSF SD70ACe, and a BNSF Cream n Green SD70MAC. The second train, an intermodal train, is lead by two SD70M-2s, and the engineer gives a friendly greeting as the train rolls past.

Train 15: We move on to fostoria as an eastbound BNSF coal train led by an SD70MAC and an SD70ACe rolls past as soon as i arrive on the first day.

Train 16: An ex-conrail SD60M in CSX YN3 paint shares the point of a northbound CSX manifest with two NS Dash 9s, a rare sight.

Train 17: Two CN SD75Is lead a short westbound manifest under the tiffin street overpass. I never expected this to come my way!

Train 18: An NS dash 8 leads an eastbound work train over the North-South CSX line

Train 19: A CSX Dash 8 leads a westbound manifest through fostoria in the early morning. This is one of the best sick horns i have EVER heard! It sounded very ghostly and was quite the sound to hear.

Train 20: An NS Dash 9 and a UP SD70M lead a westbound manifest

  • What up with the horrible horn on CSX at about 9 minutes great video but I was just wondering if you could tell me what kind of horn that is.

  • Thanks! That horn was so messed up, i couldnt even begin to guess what it was supposed to be. I'm not that good at identifying the horns in the first place, but i know that was way off from anything.

  • Where are the SD40-2's?

  • Sounds to me like a fouled K5HR24.

  • November 29th

  • When was the date that it went through Berea?

  • Oh wow, my bad. I was way too early in the video. That SD50 was 8556.

  • Thats not the SD50 i was refering to. I was referring to the SD50 in this train: GEVO, a roadslug, a GP40-2, and an SD50.

  • The number was 8604

  • Nice! Yeah, my mom takes me out to berea basically every weekend, so that's nice. My dad's the same way, he rarely wants to take me anywhere, even though he's more into trains than my mom =P
