@embojitsu sorry to be a pedant but the Bill Grundy interview was in 1976, so Siouxsie would have been nearer 19 than 14. Nevertheless, it cost Grundy his career - the world just couldn't cope with punk. I saw them 3 times in the 80's and still think The Banshees are still one of the best bands ever. Kids talking of rebellion and outrageous behavior by Gaga et al now would be horrified at those epoch ending times. It could only happen once :o)

Siouxsie was big on the punk scene and caused a stir by leading one of her band members, a guy, by a silver dog chain round his neck into her local. Siouxsie and the yeah yeah yeahs are two different universes!!! Dont get me wrong, I love them both. But the yeah yeah yeahs are more of a modern indie band thats hit some pretty cool notes, as to where siouxsie is one of the all time best female vocalists and their music is TIMELESS. Just to set the record straight.
