North Sydney Garbage

We are over in North Sydney early on a Friday morning to see the good old manual garbage collections with the traditional rear loader and 55L containers, as well as some wheelie bins. Featured is one of the few old Hinos URM used to run in the council for the collections, which you'll see were pretty slow machines to work with. Since I captured this footage URM has purchased some second-hand trucks to replace the Hinos, the recycling has become commingled and new 55L manual containers and wheelie bins have been rolled out to all properties.

When I was there I also managed to capture some footage of the paper recycling in the units after this truck had been unloaded, so feel free to take a look at that video. However, I was unable to capture footage of the bottles as I was restricted with time and couldn't find the truck.
