"The Sunken Cathedral," by Debussy, from book 1 of the Préludes. In this magical prelude, Debussy depicts the story of the legendary castle of Ys, in which its people were punished for being sinful by being flooded. Every year, the cathedral slowly rises out of the lake, allowing for its memory to live on.
Using parallel chords, 11th and 13th chords, and the pealing sounds of bells, Debussy paints a magical mist from which the cathedral slowly emerges, before majestically sinking back into the depths.
belle technique ! interprétation intéressante

Merçi! Je regrette, mais je ne parle pas français très bien. I chose to play the middle, chordal sections twice as fast, because of Debussy's strange time signature marking, plus the piano roll of this very piece that Debussy himself recorded.
