just use a small tripod and hold it just above the C/G. Then if you nead it you have with you (the tripod).

for $20 I made today ANGULAR (like Merlin) stabilizer.

well, i have to say ... i am impressed you ran and you kept the camera very still nice work

i remember that walk from tango/waltz/foxtrot lessons. head should stay on a straight path, almost as if you're floating.

Good idea. But I actually thought that your test was made without the steadicam and you were doing a BEFORE and AFTER effect. Oops. I suppose there are some skills involved in getting a steady shot, not just having a stabilizer. How about a sequel after you learn to use it?

I agree to you. I bought a steadicam with body pod for just 280$!!!

This video is just so old. I'd almost forgotten it existed. Can't believe how much I've learned since then, when I thought I knew it all.

For the cost, it works well. Some tips on usage though: when walking down a straight path or road, try to hold it in one hand and counter-balance with the other/ also, the "glide-step" should be used to minimize upper body movement. If you were in marching band you might remember this. If not, pretend that you want your head to travel on the smoothest path possible and try to walk. For backing up, back up on your toes. I know I wrote alot but I hope it helped.
