I was there too.
I held her in my arms.
She was a goddess to me.

Bloody sound wasn't hooked up for her. Great shame. Terrific sounding ensemble though.
Imagine her in her eighties ? Boy did she ever sing with Kenton when she was really going.
Thinkon she sang jazz for SIXTY plus years. God bless her.

Hi Sister! I was there too and it was so touching to see and hear her. She has definitely not lost her incredible sense of groove though her very old age!! By the way the drummer was the great François Laudet from Paris, a friend of mine!! ;-)

This pianist was nto Norman simmons .
Barance this club is so hard to hear ,sorry for Anita.

Sorry, but this drummer is Francois Laudet, born in Paris in 1958, probably one of the best french jazz drummers. FL replaced Butch Miles with Count Basie Orchestra during a ten days european tour, in july 1997. He played also with benny Carter, Phil Woods, Monty Alexander, Clark Terry. During summer 2007 and 2008, FL and his own big band played with the lovely Robin McKelle. Questions?

Anita and we were robber by a terrible sound set up.
Was the engineer deaf?
Anita was overridden by the volume of the drums, etc.
I need to find more of her singing in here 80's.
Yes, it was difficult to hear her.
Norman Simmons - piano, Luigi Trussardi - bassist, Xavier Richardeau - saxo, Arthor Von Blomberg - drums.
