Korea: 10,000 of Jehovah's Witnesses have chosen the prison

During the past 65 years, more than 10,000 of Jehovah's Witnesses in Korea have chosen to serve a prison sentence rather than violate their Bible-trained conscience.
Adam is one of Jehovah's Witnesses. As such, he does not believe in going to war, following the principle in Isaiah 2:4 (which is on the side of the UN building) that says: "And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore." For being a conscientious objector to war he will go to prison anywhere from 18 months to 3 years. He is not the only one.
