u can open the back by sliding the back cover downwards. the screen on this is not capacitive so its not like an iphone. you can however remove the cartoony look and get a adult theme for the menu. Also when music plays it does show artwork of the artist (alot of mp3s have it automatically) This phone has bluetooth and an external sdcard slot so its good for those things
