@stewartx5 Negative, every gun owner should own a .22, you ain't a gun man unless you have a .22 of some sort or understand they're the gun everyone loves to tinker around using. They're cheap to shoot, fun to shoot, good for target pratice gun, they will shoot long distances accurately. I could kill a deer with my .22 if I wanted, lol I could kill a man as well in 1 shot.

I could survive in the wild with my .22 rifle and a few boxes of Winchester 555.

@swordsman3000 not a bad idea, something to consider. i have a 40 & a 12ga, thinking about trading the 40 & going back to 9mm. my 40 is super light & recoils way to hard to have nice groups. Would be nice to have a 22 range toy again, maybe a 10/22 & a PMR30. But for a main defense rifle I'm considering saving up to get a DelTon AR.

An AR with M855 green tip penetrators will slice right through both sides of a car (minus side impact door beam type stuff) an still ruin a bad guys day, and IMO that is one of the more likely scenarios in a WROL situation....A 22lr aint doin' that

Now you could carry a 10/22 for multiple soft targets in the open (i.e. riot situation) and then use your sidearm to dump alot rounds into any vehicles the bad guys use for cover

@swordsman3000 I saw the baseball vid & the guy who can split avocados at 225 yards, thats what got me thinking maybe a 22 is really enough power & accuracy. starting to really realize that maybe spending $800 on an AR for defensive purposes isn't entirely all it's cracked up to be...
