It's one of these moments that I wish Van Hohenheim was my father. Great character in FMA Brotherhood.

You know, I must admit that I wasn't fond on Hohenheim in the first series but Van Hohenheim in Brotherhood and the manga is my favourite character. So much that he regrets when it's not his fault, to me he was a strong character and whilst unexpected, I would say he was a big driving force for the bigger picture of the story in this version.
