Wow you people are so touchie. The ads do just end up promoting there stuff but the message up front is still true and it making people crazy about it is also helping those causes get more attention. Look how eveyone talking about it.

@WTFirfan If it wasn't for this ad, almost nobody would even spare a thought for the rainforest. Most people tune out that message anyway. But this ad, because it was funny, will make SOME people think about it. And maybe even do something about it. But your implication that we should slash and burn our own forests to bring attention to the cause seems a little foolish.

This add does not bring attention to these issues. It mocks them by basically saying "deforestation is a big issue in brazil, but you don't have to worry about that. Sit back and enjoy life, get a bikini wax, while whatever happens happens".

This is what is wrong with developed countries as a whole, living in a privileged society, you fail to be sensitive to the issues the less privileged face. Only when it directly effects you is when you will understand.
