My Grandpa played football with Bob at Michigan and they were pretty good friends. He passed away last month and among his other things, I found a talking Bob Ufer bobblehead he had. Pretty fkn awesome.

Nothing against Frank Beckmann....But I wish we had someone like Ufer doing the games now...

I became a Bob Ufer fan when I was 9 years old. My Dad, brother, sister and I were sitting in the car an outdoor A&W stand in Kalamazoo, and we were listening to the Michigan-OSU game. Dennis Franklin was the quarterback; this was 10-10 tie in which he broke his collarbone. I remember that I just loved hearing Bob Ufer (at the time I thought his name was Bob BUFORD!) call the game, and instantly became a fan. I still love his Uferisms; I still call that place in Columbus the "Snakepit"!

Bob Ufer was the greatest he made me a Michigan fan when I heard him at 13 and 42 years later I still am a Miiiiiiiichigan fan! Go Blue!

I can still see them after all these years. Leach destroyed OSU while he was there (unfortunately). Obviously I am an OSU fan, but I still think Ufer was great and I miss the 10 year war.

May God Bless Bob's Cotton pickin Maize & Blue Michigan heart!

I was a die hard Buckeye living in Michigan from 77-81. Before ESPN or DirecTV, if I wanted football, I had to listen to UM. Bob Ufer was the BEST. Loved to listen... (Go Bucks)!

When Michigan played on TV you turned down the volume and listened to Bob Ufer. His pregame talks with Bo were the best, even humbling Bo with his facts.
