Bullwhip Cracking: how to open a can of rootbeer

In this video I demonstrate how a full can of rootbeer can be cut in half with a whip. I'm using a 6 ft stockwhip.

@AdamCWM I know you can never beat the tried and true leather whip. Is that your preference? I've been having a difficult time finding a good leather whip that'll last through practice. I'm worried that the difference is price. Ideas?

@LadyeXo Almost all of the whips I use in my shows are made from nylon as it's easier to maintain than leather whips. The only leather whips I've found to perform better than nylon whips tend to be on the expensive side.

I showed another video to a friend of mine, and he commented about the stool you're using, which is of a design we made for shop class late junior high or early High school. I have two of them near me now. (That only proves the sturdiness of the design.)
