  • Which do you like better, the 67 or the 69? Do they ride any different? I need some advice. Looking to trade my Solstice GXP for a big old car like a 67 Deville Conv or a 67 Continental Conv...The Cadillacs are cheaper, but I just know nothing ride better than an old Lincoln and i'm only 23 ha I need a 100% American car. Might even go for a 77 Grand Prix...I just don't know...

  • The '69 is a better road car, but you cant be a convertible for more smiles per gallon :-)

  • or someone just tell me the 0-60 on a 66-67 continental, please

  • Around 10 seconds.

  • stock or with an edelbrock carb or something else?

  • Original Carter AFB rebuilt by Pony Carbs in 2005.

  • Love the sound of that big V-8!

  • Beautiful. A time when Ford really knew what they were doing. I'd take these over a Caddy any day. Great car!

  • @jeffr890 Yeah, the whirring noise in first gear sounds like a 60 T-Bird I knew.

  • wow! a convertible.

so out of curiosity how are these on gas milage? lol

  • @MikeyL im a big cadillac fan but i cant disagree :)

  • @stopglobalswarming and he proably got more like 3 gallons a mile lol

  • Don't you just love to drive this car? I have a '67 sedan a '68 sedan and a '66 convertible - at 5300 - 6200 lbs you just can't duplicate this ride quality. As the advertisment for the cars said it all " FOR THOSE WHO TRAVEL WELL- LINCOLN" LOVE IT! You can hit a potthole and the car just slightly shifts and you feel nothing. You can't say that about todays cars- lol!!!

  • I drive diesel trucks for a living, and driving one of these beautiful timeless land barges is somewhat like a diesel truck, but with couch cushion suspension! This is why the custom diesel cabs are sometimes referred to as Large Cars.

I saw a man in a 70's cadillac towing a 5th wheel horse trailer once. He said it didn't even strain at all to move it. They had it mounted right in the trunk, on the frame rails.

  • @jsrambler and 10 gallons! :-)

  • Thank you so much! I love those big old cars!

  • 67 was the last year for this car....Ford LOST money on each one...they were more pricey than Cadillacs....except for the Cadillac Broughms, those were more costly than a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow
