@SensieSanzashi Yes, we do what you describe above too. But we usually pull out the hand gear, and other protective stuff, just in case. In a test atmosphere we do not do it for the younger yudansha with Mom & Dad present. :-)
...A good training game, looks like it's a lot of fun, perhaps used as a student testing model(?)...however not what I would consider good for public viewing. (JMO)
May I suggest for multiple attackers, restraining one opponent and using them as a shield while staying / moving on the perimeter. eg. Imagine a circle, and you are a point-of-attack either in the middle area or on the outside perimeter. Being in the middle area your attackers are all around you...on the perimeter (outside)...?!
