@cvmIII well where i'm from we called it both and i call it backslide to just the word glide was in my head so i just said that and the moonwalk is kinda hard to describe through text.

In NYC, we called it the backSLIDE, not glide. It might've have been called that where you're from or in some book but that's how I know it from the streets of Bed Stuy.

If by CIRCULAR motion, you mean to describe how your legs look moving - imitating an astronaut taking a step and kind of bouncing up in the air, because of the lighter gravity, so it looks almost like you're pedaling a bike - without the bike- then yes you're right.

The move shown is called the backslide, not the moonwalk. The moonwalk is a slow motion, exaggerated walk (a combination of imitating astronauts and pantomime) in which you look like you're walking with no gravity. It is done going forward
