Divx and Xvid are codecs, an alternative to DVD's, we have DVD Rips, and one DVD Rip in Xvid or Divx is approx 700 MB, well, H264 does the same and get even a bit better Video and Sound, BUT DOUBLE LESS MEGABYTES! 350 MB IS NEW VIDEO STANDARD and H264 IS NEW STANDARD CODEC, YOU SHOULD TRY IT!!! ITS AMAZING! MY OLD DVD RIP OF CASINO ROYALE IS AROUND 700 MB (XVID) AND H264 IS 350 WITH EXACTLY THE SAME VIDEO AND AUDIO!!!

hmm.. I"ve tried this codec compared to divx 7 and I have had the opposite experience. That is, I'm using adobe encoder, and I encode to divx and get twice the quality for the same bitrate. Possibly it is encoding in H.264 though, as it is HD... and maybe premiers encode engine is turd. No idea.

you mean most are in h.264 format, yes, but there are a bunch that arent HD and yet are still h.264
