An Original by Jackie - She Would Dream

A co-worker told me today (October 6th) that while she watched this, her 4 year old granddaughter sat there with her and listened to the whole song... she said she was real surprised about her granddaughter's interest in it....As I always feel about my current job... If I can help at least one child, it's all worth it.....

here is a song I wrote a couple of weeks ago.... I am playing the keyboard to the best of my abilities.... not saying I cant do better, just still learning it.... I will be posting another version with Rene Guylline providing the musical arrangement.... just wanted to share what I was able to do too:) Enjoy:)

Vs. 1)
She grew up on the poor side of town
Going door to door with her mom
They would stay a day or two
Then back they would go
Back to the poor side of town
She would play in the trenches on a swing
She would wear what she could to stay warm
And their home was no where
Just cardboard for a bed
And at night while she slept she would dream.. (Bridge)

She would campaign for the poor
Hoping each day theyd get more, then head
over to the poor side of town
She found her in the trenches on a swing
She gave her food and clothing to stay warm
She gave her blankets for her bed
and a pillow for her head

Pink and blue flowers on her wall
A Canopy bed and a room full of dolls
She would wake in the morning and
run down the stairs
To a kitchen filled with sweetness in the air
