  • Can you imagine how vulgar they would make the same movie plot today?

  • You are right! I am only 14 years old and it is my favorite movie of all time. I believe that the old movies are the best. Call me old fashioned, but I think the movies that are made now and what people my age consider to be good movies are horrible and lack depth and feeling. Vivian and Robert were excelent.

  • I keep watching it over and over tonight. The new year is about 10 min away. I am here with the dogs. Alone. I love someone very much and that person is not here. So sweet. Our first kiss was unique and very special. The most beautiful kiss ever in my life. I miss my love very much tonight. Our lives are impossible. Our love is and was beautiful. It will always be. I love you BP. Always will.

  • I know a love that will never die. Beautiful. It is forever.

  • Loooove this movie! Tragic and sad, but so beautiful too!

  • @joyfulsense If you can get TCM on TV, it plays it every so often or you can request it on its web site to be aired.

  • Director Mervyn LeRoy was a master of this kind of movie. He also did "Random Harvest" which is just as good in its romantic mood and storyline.

  • i love that scene i love that movie

  • @bettykitten2233 I think its available at moviesunlimited, com saw it last time I purchased a movie.

  • I love that movie because its great and I hate it because it has sad ending.I was teenager and that movie shaped my attitude towards prostitiution-ok I know its naive to think that every prostitute is forced to do so to survive but I'm oldfashioned and I think that only dirty piggs pay for sex. Also by using prostitutes people support women trafficking and violent pimps forcing their victims to "profession" =I think these pimps shall be senteced to death

  • @copernicus633 Actually, in the Robert Sherwood play on which the film is based, I believe Myra is already, uh, "in the profession" when she a nd Roy meet and Roy tries to reform her. She also the earlier pre-code version with Mae Clarke--it's a lot saltier.
