Eflite Blade 400 3D does In-Ground-Effect hover inside apartment. Notice how the helicopter is pulled towards areas of faster moving recirculation, and thus lower pressure .... Needless to say, I do NOT recommend flying a 400 size helicopter indoors. Yes I did it but I'm crazy. These things will hurt you. I've been hit by this thing before, with Carbon Fiber blades on it - the blades went through a good size vein - put a hairline crack in the bone underneath - and I lost round about a half pint of blood in under a minute (until I got my shirt off and wrapped around the wound). Think of them as a flying lawn mower. For a 450 size heli (or .30 nitro) at flight speed the blade tips have *roughly* the same energy as that of a .22 caliber bullet. They will hurt you bad if not careful.

  • I did this same thing in my living room...very little area to land since there was stuff on the floor, namely a super cub plane that i had next to the wall and like an idiot i look down at the transmitter trying to change gyro gain and of course i didn't have the throttle all the way down and it had drifted across the carpet into my super cub, bursting it into peices everywhere. you should check out the video where a guy is hovering a raptor 90 in his living room...filling it with smoke

  • @Thrashaero - Yeah I saw that video of the 90 in the living room. Crazy.

  • Looks like your blades and flybar paddle is out of track and also check the center of gravity of your heli. Twitchy bird.. I suggest to lower the head speed when your hovering in a small place.

  • CG was ok but the track was out. I was lazy that day :) Recirculation was playing hell with it the most.

  • You know that you will have to put a small camera on that chopper and shoot some awesome video!

  • Future plans to do!

  • Brass balls for sure- I clipped that tail nub off mine- snags everything!

  • Did it break the tank? Lol I could see that turning into one cleanup job!
