Takes a brave person to board a damaged/sinking sub.
Limies boarded more than 5 German subs. U570 was captured by the the Royal Navy in 1941, put back into service & used against the Germans.
Brave people Allied & Axis alike fighting for what they thought was right. But pride & ignorance will always ensure our leaders keep us fighting & killing each other. Nothings changed :(

Good documentary. Thank you.

The seamanship was adorable in the first movie. But there was scarcely such thing in the second.

A really great Documentary post-WW2, which explains and or reveals, how the U.S. was able to sink more Japanese & Nazi submarines than either side was prepared for! It was only 'after' the war that these practices could be made public, or, as the old adage went back then, "Loose lips sink ships!" Being a Navy Veteran myself, I cannot express the pride and gratitude I have for 'all' those who wore our U.S. uniforms--in all branches of the Service, and who gave their lives and bodies to defend us.
