I don't think he is a disgrace, he seems pretty comfortable with himself. He's far from a disgrace,.... ppl who kill, rape, hurt children, steal, terrorists and racists etc.....now that's a disgrace.
A a little Chinese guy singing off key with bad dance moves and still made alot of money is not a disgrace.....that's LUCK.

@GnarleyJonHarley . . of course you can! If you are poor or don't have health insurance, it is free. EVERYONE is covered by Health Insurance in America. It is just not only paid for by the person covered.

I am an American and admired his courage and thought he was very funny too.
I think lots of people the whole world over were having fun with him . . .
BUT, he was having lots of fun too.
In America no one can make you do something that you do not want to do.

@koreansupport . . . . yes, and he made a lot of money doing so.
I don't think it was the network's intention at the time, but the viewer response to him was so great, that they let him go back on the show.
It was a good situation for everyone involved.
