There is no such thing as "Darwinian". I wish Dwkins would not make the uninformed rhetoric of the Creationists his own.

I think you are confusing Darwinian with Darwinism. Darwinism is an outdated and incorrect name for evolutionary theory. Darwinian is a sociological term used to describe societies and processes that are very close to nature in the way that they literally only provide survival for the fittest.

But that is not what Dawkins is talking about. He should use "evolutionary process" or anything similar without using a person's name. Cultural evolution and biological evolution are only superficially showing similar patterns anyways.

He is using the phrase Darwinian in the context of developing moral norms in primitive societies. I guess Darwinian is not as taboo in sociology as Darwinism is in Biology. Darwinian does not refer to evolution, but a state in which a society is mainly occupied by its continued survival.

i agree.... i hate hearing "darwinism" because it sounds like a religion.. but i think he and some biologists use it to separate the accepted theory of evolution by darwin to, i think was, mendel's theory of evolution which claim that children inherit the physical traits that their parents acquired in their lifetime.

Gratitude:

John of God at Omega Institut

Another person spontaneously cured from bad a horse-back riding injury was the sister of a brazilian congress-man who, when told I had been there, kissed me enthousiastically, exclaiming :

" Praised the ones who go to Abadiania ! "

Those not cured spontaneously find an amelioration a little later, some others have to return a few times but there is NO charge for anyone nor any service. It's entirely FREE.

I never said the contrary (see my commentary below).

I, we would use the ones or the others, the one most suitable to the situation or then both.

Science AND religion goes hand in hand. As for the brain of an integrated person. The two hemispheres assist one another. That is also a scientific fact...

Gratitude: John of God at Omega Institute

One of my friend, a nurse, had a 6 years nodule on her breast. It disappeared with the first prayer/meditation session in Abadiania at John's of God faith/healing center.

Many other persons were cured of dangerous conditions for which the medical field was impotent. Cancer is one of these for which this healing center is reknowned all over the world... !!

I've been there. I know of what I speak.
