The Vantage has an all-aluminum, glued-and-riveted chassis, that looks like no other car. The roadster has no cowl shake and during a drive you will notice the Vantage is jiggle-free as it galloped through corners with confident handling, tight steering controls, and the juiciest exhaust snort this side of heaven. The cammy 4.3-liter V-8 is easy to drive with the big power not arriving until after 4000 rpm. Down shifting is quick, easy and accompanied by the exquisite exhaust burping that is sure to put a smile on your face.
The folding sound-insulated cloth top collapses under a body-color panel sculpted with seat fairings. The car looks outstanding with the top up or down.
This roadster also has the paddle-shift transmission, called Sportshift. All Vantages use Italian-made Graziano six-speed manuals mounted ahead of the rear axle. The Sportshift incorporates a Magneti Marelli hydraulic shifting system virtually identical to those used by Ferrari and Lamborghini.
