Truck Launches Off Jump Into Pond in Slow Motion

A guy drives his truck off a jump and lands it in a pond! The truck goes airborne before hitting the water. Watch for pieces of mud flying off the tires and hitting the water while the truck is still in the air. Pieces of the headlight cover shatter and fly off during water impact. Video shot at 240 frames per second using a Sony HDR-SR11 camera.

How did you record for longer than 3 seconds in slow motion? My HDR-SR11 records for 3 seconds which is then 11 seconds in slow motion.

@jackdelamare The real time duration of the recording was 3 seconds. A normal camera records at a frame rate of 30 fps. The high speed video on the HDR-SR11 was shot at 240 fps. Therefore when it is played back at 30 fps, it is 8 times slower. Therefore the 3 second video times 8 equals a playback duration of 24 seconds.

@Davidgojr There is no specific setting on the camera. When you import the videos to your editing program, make sure to play it back at 30 fps instead of the 60 fps that comes out native from the camera. 30 fps is what you want!

@Davidgojr I know man but you have the same camera as me, yet in slow motion mode it only films for 3 seconds (11 seconds in slow motion). Is there a setting somewhere?
