  • I hate it when people say "practice it at home and you'll be wonderful!" I don't have a horse, and I can only ride once a week for half an hour, but I bloody well promise anyone that if I was able to practice on a horse outside of my lessons, my lessons would be put to much more use. Horse riding is like any other sport -- practice makes perfect. Only problem is, the one object you need to practice isn't as cheap as a ten dollar soccer ball. :(

  • thank you! this was sooo helpful! it has always been really hard for me to sit trot especially with my horse because he's 17 hds and his trot is SUPER bouncy. Every time I try to sit trot I always get bounced out of the saddle & so I always tighten the contact with the his mouth which makes him tense up, making it more uncomfortable (for both of us). But this is really really helpful I'm going to try it & hopefully my horse will start to relax with the sitting trot. thanks again! :)
