That's not true. Clarence Thomas would have came to the same conclusion as the white judge. Judges are suppose to draw conclusions from an objective point of view, without any personal biases.

When she said that statement she was talking about civil rights cases and actually said that a white judge can make a case on a civil rights case but it takes time and effort to be empathetic.
Specifically she was talking about the allowing of separate but equal by white judges.
Would a Black man, with the richness of his experiences (including underprivileged education) have come to the same conclusion? He would have not allowed it. Same goes for a latina women from that background.

Here is how Sotomayor decides: Whoever is from the most "historically discriminated" catagory wins the case, regardless of merit.
The question: Will we be able to dig out of the damage Obama is doing to the country, and if so, how long will it take?

Identity politics is not a democratic idea; it's a marxist idea. The democrats might as well change their name to the socialist party.

Vote out all incumbents out of office 2010.
I pray the Republicans stop bending over to the rotten Democrats they all look stupid and stupid is as stupid does.
I know of no conservative, of any consequence, that would still hold a public office after making comments similar to those this woman has made. These attitudes and statements undeniably reflect the ideals and philosophy of the nominator.
